Congratulations to Mrs. Cheyenne Garvey, Schmitt 2017 Teacher of the Year

Mrs. Garvey Teacher of the Year

Cheyenne Garvey is a natural leader and sincere in her desire to support others. She has led our staff in the area of Thinking Maps, Writing, and teacher advocacy. Her love for teaching is reflected in the students she teaches, who are consistently happy and engaged in their learning. Her students adore her, and once they have left to Middle School they come back to visit her. She uses effective teaching strategies and technology to ensure that all of her students’ academic needs are met. In addition, she is often seen walking around asking how she can help and support others.
